Staff and Volunteers
The shops are run on a daily basis by our great team of supervisors that ensure that our customers are made to feel welcome and our students, trainees and volunteers have a great experience. Our team are retailers ensure that our shops are stocked, clean, tidy and compliant as we want to achieve great sales to ensure that we contribute to the work of the UET. All our team are DBS checked and trained to provide a service to our extended team.
We have work experience students from Uplands school that access our Redhouse shop and Horizons College retail trainees that work in our Gorse Hill Children’s and Kitchen shop throughout the week.
Our Gorse Hill shop have a team of volunteers that have additional needs and access the shop with the opportunity of moving onto paid work within the shop at the Brunel.
Would you like to become a volunteer?
We always welcome volunteers who want to gain new skills or build on current ones. Volunteers take part in all areas of the shop including sorting donations, stocking shelves and displays, helping customers and keeping the shops tidy. Please complete the applications forms below and hand in to any of our charity shops.

Are you working towards your Duke of Edinburgh? We welcome D of E students who would like to volunteer in our Charity shops. We usually have a group of D of E students at anyone time who work in groups sorting donations, stocking shelves and displays, helping customers and keeping the shops tidy. If you would like to apply please fill in the application form and parental forms below and drop into one of our Charity Shops.
