Refurbishment of Shaw Farm

Shaw Farm Refurbishment

Since taking on the Shaw Farm building, we have been carrying out a schedule of refurbishment works on both the grounds and building. Recently, we have carried out work to update the front entrance of the site.  We have removed the loose stones and laid Astroturf to the front garden and were very grateful to the 11 volunteers from St. James’s Place Wealth Management who helped to clear the area and plant containers.

Planned refurbishment works for the summer are:

1st July: Levelling the front garden paving slabs to create an accessible walkway

4th July: Removal of the old wooden Fort in the rear garden which will be replaced with a new sand pit and water tower.

August: We have received funding to refurbish the log cabin in the rear garden to create a sensory space. Funding was received from B&Q and Wiltshire Community Fund for sensory equipment such as liquid floor tiles, a colour changing table, laser stars, and a UV waterfall curtain along with many more new items.

At present we are designing a mud kitchen to be built in the rear garden and are actively looking for funders to update the indoor kitchen and outdoor play area to make them more accessible and inclusive.

September: We have requested funding from B&Q to paint the inside of the soft play area and for them to design a boot and coat lockable cupboard.
