Equine Facilitated Learning
Empowering Growth Through the Horse–Human Connection
UET Equine
We believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe, understood, and connected. Set within the calm, natural environment of Southleigh Stables, our equine facilitated learning sessions use the powerful relationship between humans and horses to support confidence, wellbeing, and personal development.
Horses respond honestly and without judgement, offering immediate feedback that helps individuals develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and trust. Every session is thoughtfully tailored to the individual, creating a positive and empowering experience that builds resilience and supports long-term growth.
We offer one-to-one and small group sessions for adults and young people, delivering inclusive, ground-based learning in a fully accessible setting, including wheelchair-friendly tracks and a sand paddock.
What Our Sessions Can Support
- Increased self-esteem, confidence, and motivation
- Improved communication, social, and relationship skills
- Support for learning differences and neurodiversity
- Development of life skills such as responsibility, leadership, and self-belief
- Personal growth aligned with individual goals
We work in partnership with mainstream, SEN, and alternative provisions, creating bespoke programmes that complement EHCP outcomes and AQA awards, in collaboration with families and professionals.
Our Approach
Sessions are experiential, outdoors-based, and led at the participant’s pace, allowing learning to emerge naturally through interaction with the horses.
